Election Night

This is the first Presidential Election that our children have been old enough to have some understanding of the prcoess. It didn't dawn on me until just now the reason why Mela was determined to wear a red shirt yesterday. She wanted to wear red, white and blue for election day. Mela, Elise and Griffen all got to "vote" in their classrooms. When I asked Elise who she voted for she said, "McCain". I asked her why she voted for him and she said, "Mom, cuz you told us he takes care of babies!". (I had forgotten about that discussion.) We went as a family to the polls last night and on the way Griffen asked, "Will McCain be there?". I had three munchkins in the voting booth with me as you can see from the picture. :) When we got home, they were all anxious to know who won. At one point they were all chanting, "McCain, McCain, McCain!" Mike asked me if I was raising little Republicans. You betcha!
